More Eyes!
It was eye ball day again last Saturday. I've been continuing my series on eyeballs (close ups), and I've been continuously amazed and awed by the human eye. I hope you enjoy!

Last Friday the school was a buzz. Amanda O worked hard to put together an alumni show at PrairieView School of Photography. The show featured works from past graduate students and what a great show of work there was to be seen! I submitted my eye ball photos as well as my dandelion photo to the show, and had fun seeing everyone else's work since graduating last year. Amanda was quicker with a full-out blog post with photos and video from the night, so I'll just link to hers: PV BLOG
If you watch carefully, you'll see me in the video talking about oatmeal (of all things!!). I had no idea she was filming us with her new dslr, and I suppose oatmeal was the hot topic.
Thanks AO!
I think everyone in Winnipeg can agree that it has been a long winter and now we've been hit with a challenging spring with the flooding and the cold, windy days. I was at Assiniboine park the other day looking at the swollen river and trying to find hints of greenery. Winnipeggers are troopers and I saw a lot of people jogging, walking their dogs and throwing footballs around. There's something exciting about the few weeks before the warm weather hits and the trees burst open with green leaves. I know it's taxing on our spirits all this waiting and enduring cold, grey days... but there's this anticipation in the air. The grass is showing hints of colour and the trees are slowly getting ready for their buds.
Spring is coming! Can you see it? Even the dreary river banks are showing it!
Ok guys... gearing up for summer... it's beautiful in Winnipeg today... so what's the first word that comes to mind when you see this?
I had a lovely visit with my friend Francine today - I don't see her as much since she moved to Québec to pursue her passion and study medicine. Before she left I asked her if she could pose for a few quick shots around my house. It's been awesome to see so much sunlight streaming through the windows that I had to take advantage of the light and my beautiful subject! It was fun and relaxed and reminded me of the many photo shoots we used to do together all the time. She loves being in front of the camera and I love it!
